Our Mission Statement

CELEBRATE RECOVERY – STINESVILLE NAZARENE ministry exists to provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential Christ-centered space, infusing biblical principles to create sustainable recovery and healing from hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

We seek to build and restore relationships through authentic Christian fellowship. By modeling healthy Christian behaviors and sharing common experiences, we will inspire and empower individuals to grow in faith and reclaim their freedom through peace found in Jesus Christ.

We meet every Tuesday of the month, year-round.

6:00 PM: Free fellowship meal in the Fellowship Hall

7:00 PM: Large Group Lesson or Testimony | Worship

8:00 PM: Small Group Open Share

What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery was founded in 1991 as a ministry of Saddleback Church by Pastor John and Cheryl Baker. John shared with Senior Pastor Rick Warren a vision God had given him for a new Christ-centered ministry where people could find freedom from their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. The first night 43 people attended, and Celebrate Recovery was born with only four Open Share Groups.

Thousands of churches have started a Celebrate Recovery ministry worldwide, and that number continues to grow. Celebrate Recovery is not just growing in churches but in recovery houses, rescue missions, universities, and prisons around the world. It continues to be a growing global movement.

Stinesville Nazarene opened its chapter of Celebrate Recovery to the public in August 2023.

Celebrate Recovery is a safe place for people to find freedom from the issues controlling their lives.

What to Expect

Do you have to be a Christian to go to Celebrate Recovery?
You do not have to be a Christian to attend Celebrate Recovery. All are welcome and encouraged to join. While it is a faith-based recovery program, there are no prerequisites for attendance. Come as you are, understanding that everyone is on a journey to recover from a hurt, habit, or hang-up.

What is Celebrate Recovery like?
The first meeting can be exciting as you learn the ins and outs of CR and meet new people. You are not required to pay or share anything at the meetings, but you will only get out of it what you decide to put into it. Staying open-minded is a great idea.

How does Celebrate Recovery work?
Meetings typically begin with a free fellowship meal but are not required. The large group session, usually an hour long, includes praise and worship, followed by testimony or a CR lesson. Afterward, participants break into small groups based on their specific genders.

Please watch this video for an overview of what to expect at CR.
*This video is not of CR Stinesville Naz and is on a much larger scale. CR Stinesville Naz offers Women’s and Men’s Small Groups only.

Step Study is currently closed until the next cycle.
